PLAY GROUP PARTY

Yesterday we had a play group Easter Party. It was so much fun. We all got together at the church for a potluck lunch and then had a little Easter Egg Hunt! It was fun to watch all the kids having such a good time, and it was so nice to actually be outside for a little while. Katelin got some good practise for picking up PLASTIC eggs. Clay still wants me to take her outside and get her trained and ready for the big family hunt on Saturday. It is kind of a joke with our family, but plastic eggs are a lot more valuable because they have money in them. It could be a quarter or some dimes or maybe a dollar, but you could get really lucky and hit a 20 dollar bill. So we hope our child can pass the temptation of chocolate bunnies and skittles and find the plastic eggs! Good luck with that one huh!

WHERE A KID CAN BE A KID!!!

For My Nephew's birthday we went to Chucke Cheese! It was a lot of fun. I don't think that I have been their since it was Show Biz back in the day when I was little. We had pizza and played lots of games and watched the big scary animals on stage sing and dance. Katelin Liked the big singing animals but kept saying "he is going to eat me Mom." They were kind of hungry looking! Here are some pictures of the event.

UNLOADING THE DISHWASHER!!

It was a dark, cold and stormy night. I asked Clay if he would unload the dishwasher so Katelin and I could make some Valentine cookies. Clay began to unload the dishwasher. I think he may have had a secret agenda. He asked me where to put the tupperware and as I leaned down to put it in the draw I saw just a glimpse of the big butcher knife. As I came back up it stabbed me in the ARM!!! OUH wasn't the only word that came out of my mouth as I asked him what he was doing!? I guess he was handing me the knife to put away too, so he says. But I have to wonder do I have a large Life insurance policy that I am unaware of. Or maybe he has had enough of the pregnancy hormones, or maybe It was just the last draw asking him to unload the dishwasher. SO I HAVE TO ASK... IS AN UNLOADED DISHWASHER REALLY WORTH IT!!!?
(read dramatically:Luckly my wounds were only miner, but it is my heart the is hurting the most.)

OUR PROPHET DEAR

It is hard to explain how you can be shocked when a 97 year old man dies, but I think that it did just that. I knew he was always going to pass on sometime, but I wasn't really expecting this. Even though It makes me sad to see him go I am so happy for him. What a great man! He was serving his whole life and now he gets to be with his sweetheart. What a reunion he will find. I am sure there are many great people in heaven waiting to welcome this man. It is amazing to think that he became the prophet when I was just 15. He has been the leader of the church through the most important part of my life. I know he was a prophet, I have felt that in my heart many times. I am thankful that God gives us guidence in this world where we need it so much. President Hinckley was able to touch so many lives, including mine. As a young women leader I am trying to do my personal progress again, and something I just did a couple weeks ago was memorize a couple hymns. One was I know that my Redeemer lives. By Gordon B. Hinckley. I think this song he wrote sums up his testimony of Jesus Christ. "I know that my Redeemer lives, triumphant Savior, son of God, Victorious over pain and death, My King, my Leader, and my Lord. He lives, my one sure rock of faith, The one bright hope of men on earth, The beacon to a better way, The light beyond the veil of death. Oh give me thy sweet spirit still, The peace that comes alone from thee, The faith to walk the lonely road that leads to thine eternity." Isn't that great!
