GIRLS CAMP 2008

I LOVE YOUNG WOMEN!!!

We just had camp this last week and it was amazing! I LOVE my young women and I love this calling! I know that a year ago I wasn't quite as enthusiastic about the young women, but lets just say we have come along way! They are some of my dearest friends and I care so much about them and their futures. There is something about Girls Camp! There is NO SLEEP, but fun fun fun and lots of spiritual experiences. One night we took the girls up for a hike in the dark to the "Rock" if you have been to Koholowo you know this is an amazing spot in the world and it is so beautiful. Anyway as we went up the path in the dark with just are little flash lights there were alot of rocks or stumps in the way, but each girl would tell the girl behind her what to watch out for. As we got close to the top we stopped the girls. (4 yw went the rest of way knowing before hand what to do.) We talked to the girls about the path and how it related to our lives... How sometimes there are some pretty big bumps and we can't always see things clearly, but as we stay on the path our friends and family will help us reach our destination safely. We pointed out the beautiful world and asked them to be quiet and just listen as we finished the rest of the hike. As we reached the top and began to go down towards the rock, you could see a small light in the distance and hear the most beautiful voice singing Hymns. OH what a beautiful moment we had up there where we could see the stars so clearly and enjoy the beautiful world that are Heavenly Father has created for us. We had special song that our YW sang and it went...
There's a path, a road I can not see.
With Every step I take, I feel it calling me.
This path will lead me home, to where I've always known.
Am I stong enough to walk this road alone?
Don't be afraid, to be your own you.
Don't be afraid, stand up for what is true.
The world will tell you, you can't make it on your own.
Don't be afraid, your not alone.
Our hike was spontaneous to say the least, we decided to do it at the last moment, but I was amazed how well it followed the theme of camp and how much prespective it gave me. I am so glad I got to go to Camp and that my sweet husband was willing to take care of them for a couple days so I could have this special time. (Thanks Clay for keeping the kids ALIVE while I was gone.)

LEah and Sarah are just the greatest and I love them! As a birthday celebration for Laura and I they threw the best dance party EVER!!! They had dinner, cake and Ice cream and a killer dance floor. Todd set up his big screen projector and we hooked up the dance dance revolution. We had a blast!! The only thing missing was Kim, SChmath and Jamie of course! (and all the other out of area cousins!) Next time we have a family reunion this has got to be on the program. I am telling you that these gals know how to throw a PARTY!!!

THE LAST 2 WEEKS!

THE LAST TWO WEEKS HAVE BEEN GREAT! HERE ARE SOMETHINGS THAT HAPPENED...

We went Golfing for a FHE

Clay finished up summer Softball. There team did pretty good but didn't win the tournament.

My BEST FRIENDS from high school"CAKE"all were in town visiting and we got to have a girls afternoon out together. It was so fun. I love these girls they have all been wonderful friends. We have had such wonderful times together. And I couldn't have asked for better friends. I LOVE YOU! Unfortunately the only picture I got was of Caryn's little boy Greyson and my kids.

I love living in Spanish Fork because there are always fun things going on. They have a Stock Parade where all the horses go to the rodeo grounds. Katelin Really liked this. She would wave at all the rodeo queens as we went by.

And then we went on a fun little Family trip to EDEN Utah. Not too far, but it was fun. My dad rented some Condos and it was a blast. We did a lot of swimming went to the Air force Museum, the Dinosaur Park, and The tree house Museum. It was really educational.
And I turned OLD on my Birthday! My parents took us out to breakfast and then Clay and I went Golfing. I love having my own personal golf instructor. He is an amazing golfer and great at teaching me how to hit the ball just right. I just wish we would have golfed more before we had kids.

My pictures of the trip are in the slide show below

LET'S PLAY

I think this is fun and EVERYBODY is doing it, so lets join the crowd!
1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together (Kristy, Clay or both). It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!
2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you! Reminisce away...
