How did this happen? How did my brand new baby boy get SOOOOO BIG!!! I just can't believe how fast my kids are growing. It is really quite scary! Tytan is now 8 months old and he is so strong. For at least a month now he has been pulling himself up to stand everywhere he goes. I get so nervous because I don't want him to fall and bonk his head. TOO LATE!!! Look at all his little bruises on his poor head. The good thing is... he stays standing in one place for a while once he gets to his destination. I am really worried he is going to start walking and then WHAT WILL I DO?!!!
Katelin just started Sunbeams and I am so proud of her. She has been so big and has gone without crying and screaming and yelling things like "PISS ME OFF" She gave a a talk on Sunday and did so good. IT was seriously the cutest thing ever. Before her talk they had her come sit in the front. She saw Clay and I in the back and was smiling and waving at us. Then during the primary songs she start dancing! (WHO'S CHILD IS THIS??!!) When she got up to give her talk She did most of it by herself with a couple hints from me and At the end she pretty much yelled "NAMEN". She then sat down, threw her arms in the air and yelled "YAY! NOW I GET AN ICECREAM CONE" I LOVE MY KIDS! They make me laugh! Clay and I crack up at the crazy things that Katelin says and does and I love when Tytan Screams and smiles at Katelin and bounces back and forth because he is excited. I can tell that Katelin and Ty are going to be good little friends. She always wants him to come with her and play in her room. She is a little too rough with him but she tells him how cute he is and how much she loves him. So I guess that makes it better!

REWIND
HERE WE ARE STILL Alive JUST OFF THE RADAR FOR AWHILE. BESIDES BEING REALLY BUSY ARE COMPUTER HAD A VIRUS AND WAS BEING REPAIRED. SO HERE WE ARE BACK IN THE SADDLE WITH A LITTLE REWIND TO SHOW WHAT WE HAVE BEEN UP TO... (THIS MIGHT BE LONG)
FAMILY PICTURES 2008

FIRST:
OUR CHRISTMAS BREAK GOT SIDE TRACKED WHEN WE HAD TO TAKE TYTAN TO THE HOSPITAL FOR THREE DAYS. HE HAD A FEVER AND HIS SOFT SPOT WAS BULGING SO WE TOOK HIM TO THE DOCTOR AND THEY SENT US TO THE HOSPITAL BECAUSE THEY WERE WORRIED IT WAS MENINGITIS. POOR BABY! HE HAD TO HAVE SPINAL TAP AND THEY TRIED 9 TIMES BEFORE THEY FINALLY GOT AN IV IN HIM. TALK ABOUT PAINFUL!!! IT WAS SO SAD AND I CRIED FOR LIKE 2 DAYS STRAIGHT! THEY ALSO HAD TO SEDATE HIM AND DO AN MRI TO JUST MAKE SURE THINGS WERE OK. IT ALL ENDED UP FINE, THERE WAS NO MENINGITIS. WE ARE SO BLESSED AND COULDN'T BE MORE GRATEFUL THAT EVERYTHING TURNED OUT OK! IT WAS PROBABLY THE SCARIEST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE. I WAS SO SCARED BECAUSE I KNOW HOW DANGEROUS MENINGITIS IS. AS I SAT SCARED AND SAD WAITING FOR TY TO COME OUT OF THE MRI A NICE MAN STARTED TALKING TO ME AND TOLD ME ABOUT HIS WIFE WHO WAS HAVING SURGERY TO REMOVE A BRAIN TUMOR. HE SHARED SOMETHING WITH ME THAT SHE HAD WRITTEN THAT DAY. I CRIED AS I READ WHAT SHE WROTE, "I’ve been reading the Old Testament this last year and this very morning finished. I’ve read many of the books in the Old Testament numerous times, but this is only the second time in my life I’ve read it cover to cover. This verse in the last chapter of the Bible captures everything: “But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall” (Micah 4:2).
I have no idea what today will bring, but I trust in my Savior. I am in his hands. He cares for me like a farmer cares for the calves in his stall. He feeds, he protects, he grooms, he tends to my every need! I place myself in his tender care knowing that whatever the outcome, he will help me and that it will be for my best good.." IT WAS JUST WHAT I NEEDED TO HEAR AT THAT VERY MOMENT. I FEEL LIKE THAT MAN WAS MY OWN LITTLE ANGEL SENT TO GIVE ME SOME COMFORT WHEN I NEEDED IT MOST. EVEN WHEN HE WAS GOING THROUGH A TRIAL OF HIS OWN HE REACHED OUT AND HELPED ME THROUGH MINE...
CLAY AND I HAD OUR 6 YEAR ANNIVERSARY! WOW! MY SWEET HUSBAND HAD A WHOLE VACATION PLANNED FOR US BUT WE HAD TO CANCEL IT DUE TO THE FACT THAT OUR CHILD WAS IN THE HOSPITAL. OH WELL, THERE IS ALWAYS NEXT YEAR!
SANTA MADE IT TO OUR HOUSE FOR CHRISTMAS DESPITE THE BITING THE SCREAMING AND ALL THE NAUGHTINESS! KATELIN DID GET TO SIT SANTA'S LAP AT MY PARENTS PARTY AND TELL HIM "I'LL NEVER BITE LOGAN AGAIN!" HE SEEMED AMUSED AND HE MUST OF THOUGHT SHE HAD DONE SOME NICE THINGS TOO BECAUSE HE GOT HER A REALLY NICE PLAYHOUSE. MOSTLY CAUSE THAT IS WHAT I WANTED AND I TALKED HER INTO ASKING SANTA FOR IT. SANTA HAD TO WORK REALLY HARD (IN THE GARAGE) TO PUT IT TOGETHER, BUT IT TURNED OUT SO CUTE AND SHE LOVED IT.
NEW YEARS WAS GREAT WE HAD A PARTY AT THE BINGHAM'S ON NEW YEARS EVE AND SLEDDING WITH MY FAMILY THE NEXT DAY.
MOSTLY WE HAVE HAD A WONDERFUL YEAR. WE HAVE HAD SOME HARD TIMES, BUT WE HAVE HAD A LOT OF GREAT TIMES AND HAVE SEEN MIRACLES. WE FEEL SO BLESSED. WE HOPE EVERYONE HAD A GREAT HOLIDAY! WE HOPE 2009 IS WONDERFUL FOR ALL OF YOU!

"RETURN TO VIRTUE"
"NOW IS THE TIME FOR EACH OF US TO ARISE AND UNFURL A BANNER TO THE WORLD CALLING FOR A RETURN TO VIRTUE"
This October at General Conference I was really touched and impressed with Sister Dalton's talk on Returning to Virtue. As a young women leader I felt that her talk was so important and that all the young women need to hear her words, to heed her call and RETURN TO VIRTUE. So this last week we decided to do just that. We took our girls on a hike over looking our town. It was beautiful! The weather couldn't have been nicer. The trees and mountains were amazing with all of the leaves changing colors. When we reached the top we sat down together and watched the Sister Dalton's talk. After it was over, we all took turns signing our own banner and held it up as our own Standard to the Nation as a sign that we are willing to be light to this world that is in so much need of light and that we will heed Sister Dalton's call and Return to Virtue.

"IT WAS OUR ENSIGN, OUR STANDARD TO THE NATIONS--OUR BANNER CALLING FOR A RETURN TO VIRTUE."

THOSE WERE THE DAYS. GOT TO LOVE RICKS!

YW/YM HALLOWEEN PARTY!
We had the funnest Youth activity this week. We had a Halloween party where We played Donut tug of war and murder in the dark. It was really fun. The tug of war was a hit. We tied ropes to each kid and they had to be the first to take a bite of the donut on the opposite sides of the room it was so funny! Everyone really got into it and they would cheer each other on and lots of the kids wanted to try it. Here are some of the pictures from the night.

Motherhood is not for WIMPS!
Ok, YOu have all heard the saying Motherhood is not for WIMPS. Right?! SO WHAT THE HECK AM I DOING HERE??? Sometimes I feel like this...
The days can be rough and my three year old loves to make the most mischief possible! She is too smart for her own good and for my sanity as well! Sometimes I find myself singing the words to a song my mother made up when I was little...
WOULDN'T YOU LIKE TO SEE YOUR MOTHER IN A LOONEY BIN?
WHERE YOU COULD GO FOR A LITTLE RIDE AND SEE HER NOW AND THEN,
HOW LOVELY SHE'D LOOK ALL DRESSED IN WHITE WITH HER ARMS ALL STRAPpED DOWN TIGHT,
IN A ROOM THAT'S PINK AND PADDED WITH HER HAIR SO NICELY RATTED.
oh those were the days... when my mother was going CRAZY and not me!!
I hate to admit it because by telling this story you will all know what a TERRIBLE MOTHER I AM!!! Katelin won't go to Nursery by herself as soon as Clay or I try to leave she throws horrible fit and She screams and yells. To top it off she learned a new word so a couple sundays ago I shut the door to try to escape and immediately I heard her began her trantrum... " You piss me off, you piss me off" Yes, she really said that and I was totally embarrised. I looked in the little window and could see all the leaders look at each other in Shock and mouth something to the effect of... " did she say what I think she said?" I love my little Katelin, but she is definately a hand full! Clay put it this way... " She is lot of fun, but sometimes, fun is a lot of work!" Last time we went to church we bribed Katlin like crazy to get her to go to nursery and through some great miracle she went and without using any profain language might I add. But she has been soaking it for all it is worth ever since. I can't tell you how many times In the last 2 weeks I have heard the words "Please! I been good at nursery!" Ok, now that I have complained a little about how hard it is being a mother! There is nothing like it in the world. I know that I am truely blessed to be a mother. Yes, there are those days when I am going crazy and then there are the wonderful days when my children are angels and Katelin say things like "I lub you so much mommy" Or all the times she make me laugh at the funny things she says and does or makes me tear up at the sweet, profound comments she make. I loved the talk at conference by Pres. Monson where he said... "If you are still in the process of raising children, be aware that the tiny fingerprints that show up on almost every newly cleaned surface, the toys scattered about the house, the piles and piles of laundry to be tackled will disappear all too soon and that you will—to your surprise—miss them profoundly." I have to admit I don't alway love those little finger prints every where, but I am going to try harder to "FIND JOY IN THE JOURNEY NOW" and enjoy moments like these...
