OUR PROPHET DEAR

It is hard to explain how you can be shocked when a 97 year old man dies, but I think that it did just that. I knew he was always going to pass on sometime, but I wasn't really expecting this. Even though It makes me sad to see him go I am so happy for him. What a great man! He was serving his whole life and now he gets to be with his sweetheart. What a reunion he will find. I am sure there are many great people in heaven waiting to welcome this man. It is amazing to think that he became the prophet when I was just 15. He has been the leader of the church through the most important part of my life. I know he was a prophet, I have felt that in my heart many times. I am thankful that God gives us guidence in this world where we need it so much. President Hinckley was able to touch so many lives, including mine. As a young women leader I am trying to do my personal progress again, and something I just did a couple weeks ago was memorize a couple hymns. One was I know that my Redeemer lives. By Gordon B. Hinckley. I think this song he wrote sums up his testimony of Jesus Christ. "I know that my Redeemer lives, triumphant Savior, son of God, Victorious over pain and death, My King, my Leader, and my Lord. He lives, my one sure rock of faith, The one bright hope of men on earth, The beacon to a better way, The light beyond the veil of death. Oh give me thy sweet spirit still, The peace that comes alone from thee, The faith to walk the lonely road that leads to thine eternity." Isn't that great!

DISNEYLAND!

We just got back from our trip to Disneyland. It was so much fun. I have never enjoyed it as much as I did this time. It was the perfect time to go. The weather was beautiful and We could get on any ride with out waiting. Katelin loved it! It was so fun watching her reactions when she would see Mickey Mouse and the Princesses. She loved Pirates of the Caribean, It seemed a little too Scary tome and she would cuddle really close during the ride, but as soon as it was over she would Say..."GO AGAIN?" We also went to visit our Favorite Darling Grandma. It is always good to see her. She talked us into going and seeing the Ronald Reagan library. They actually have the retired Airforce 1 there. So that was cool to see. Anyway her are our Pics from the Trip.

DEDICATED TO LEAH!

We have been pretty busy the last little while and I guess I just didn't Blog much. So for all of you who have been wondering where the BINGHAMS are... Here is what we have been up too...

Christmas!!!

Christmas was so fun! We loved having Katelin get so excited about Santa Claus and presents and "Jesus's Birthday" She got royally spoiled with Barbies and Hannah Montanna Stuff and Grandma and Grandpa Bingham even got her a Car. She is a terrible driver!!! I think next year Clay and I aren't going to get her anything because by the time we go to all the Grandparents and Aunts and Uncles she has way too much!

NEW YEARS...

We pretty much had a party everyday during our Christmas Break. But For New Years Eve we went to Clay's Parents for a little get together and we all stayed up to ring in the New Year! However the next day Clay was sick with the Flu! So he spent the day home in bed.

Some other good news...
Katelin no longer has a binky! Yeah. Just before Christmas we cut the end off and showed her that it was broken. She was sad and kept saying "Binky Broken" It was so sad, but she handled it better then I thought she would. One time her Grandma asked her what she wanted Santa to bring her and she said "A Binky." Poor gal!
POTTY TIME!
Also we have been doing a little potty training and Katelin is doing great! She tells us when she needs to go "poopoo", but she hasn't really gotten down the pee thing. She Hasn't had many poopy diapers since we started, but her diaper is wet alot so we still need some work.

ROCKIN' AROUND THE CHRISTMAS TREE!

We had our Annual Family Christmas party with Santa Claus and All. IT was a lot of fun. We went Caroling and Had a little nativity production and then Santa Claus came. Katelin was actually really excited to see Santa, but never wants to sit on his lap. So fat old momma has to break poor Santa's knees every time. Oh well!

OUR LITTLE GET AWAY!

Clay and I celebrated our 5 year Anniversary this weekend. It was a blast. Our real Anniversary isn't until the 21st but we just decided this was a good time to get away. We went up to Park City and stayed in the Westgate resort at the Canyon's. It was great we had a night free with 50 bucks for dinner from one of those, listen to us try to sell you something and we will give you a gift. We went to this restaurant at the hotel that the 50 bucks and it was really a joke everything was like $25 a plate and their wasn't anything good to choose. Anyway it ended up being a disgusting meal that cost 70 bucks and that is for two people who didn't even order drinks or an appetizer. I think if dinner is going to cost you that much whether or not you have a gift card for 50 dollars it better taste good!!! Anyway other then dinner we had a blast. We went skiing at the canyons and it was heavenly. It has been a while since I went snowboarding, but I loved it. It was all powder and beautiful! (so when clay fell over and over it didn't hurt as bad:)) We really had a fun time. Oh and Clay surprised me with a Anniversary band to go with my wedding ring. I love it, And I love you Clay!! Happy Anniversary, you are the best thing that has ever happened to me!
